Class Rules & Procedures
Follow all school rules.
Be in your seat with appropriate materials when the bell rings. (You will have an assignment to do when you arrive at class. You are expected to begin the assignment as soon as you walk in. In other words, class begins when you walk in the door, not after the bell rings.)
Be polite and respectful.
You are responsible for obtaining and turning in missed assignments. (You will not be allowed to take a zero on missed assignments. If the missed work is not made up within three days after you return to school your parent will be notified.)

Information about TAKS
High school students take the TAKS test for Social Studies at Grades 10 & 11. The Grade 11 TAKS is an Exit Level exam that students must pass to graduate. Both of these tests include expectations drawn from the TEKS for World Geography Studies, and therefore these TEKS as well as many of the World History TEKS are covered in this course. Course Objective
Besides preparing you to pass the TAKS test this course will give you important knowledge and skills to prepare you to be an informed citizen and live and prosper in a complex, interdependent world.
